My Brother’s Workshop is a registered 501(c)3 non-profit Virgin Islands charitable corporation. It has been organized to provide hope, faith, and purpose to at-risk and high-risk young people in the USVI by offering mentoring, counseling, paid job training, education, and job placement.
The objectives of the program include:
We mentor youth while they are in the program through positive reinforcement, moral values, respect, and trust from the trainers, staff, volunteers, and board of directors.
Students, when they have been deemed transformed emotionally, socially, and skill wise, will receive opportunities in the program such as resume building, interview training, and communication skills that help job placement upon graduation.
MBW provides online high school programs that allow our students to obtain an accredited high school diploma if he or she has not received one through traditional means. The mission of the school program is to inspire hope and ensure the students have the academic skills necessary to succeed in the workplace.
MBW offers counseling through human service’s existing programs and volunteer counselors that can focus on identifying specific issues such as anger management, domestic violence, and substance abuse.
We offer paid job training through specific industries that are proven economical outlets in the US Virgin Islands such as construction and small trade skills like woodworking, plumbing, masonry, and carpentry. Hospitality and tourism including: service, cooking, baking, housekeeping, maintenance, and retail.
Our organization has many volunteers throughout the community. We are always seeking individuals who are wanting to use their skills and talents to help us in our mission to transform the lives of these wonderful youth.
